The Required Five
The deep sea, in seventy words, and five words that must all appear. The mirror of the last trial — and much the easier direction.
THE SPEC
Every rule below is checked in code against whatever the model returns. All of them have to hold at once — there are no partial marks, and no opinion involved in the result.
- All of: ocean, pressure, dark, creature, survive
- 70 words or fewer
- No preamble, no sign-off
- You didn't write it yourself
WHAT THIS TRIAL TEACHES
Put the required words at the end of your prompt. It weights the last thing it read most heavily, and this is the one direction that is easier than it looks.
Knowing the move is not the same as landing it. You still have to write an instruction that makes the model comply, in 120 words or fewer, without writing the answer yourself.
WHY SET 3 IS ABOUT LEXICAL CONTROL
The first set where the machine fails for a reason you can feel. Told not to say “gravity” while explaining a black hole, it reaches for the word anyway, because the word is what the topic is made of.
PLAY IT
You write the instruction, never the answer. The parser scores what comes back, and par for this one is 3 strokes. This set is part of Harfi Plus.
