Explain inflation in thirty-five words, none of them longer than six letters. Every term the subject wants — economy, currency, purchasing, inflation itself — is over the limit.

WHAT THIS TRIAL TEACHES
Name the long words you expect it to reach for and ban them individually. “Use short words” is a mood; a list is a rule.
Knowing the move is not the same as landing it. You still have to write an instruction that makes the model comply, in 120 words or fewer, without writing the answer yourself.
WHY SET 3 IS ABOUT LEXICAL CONTROL
The first set where the machine fails for a reason you can feel. Told not to say “gravity” while explaining a black hole, it reaches for the word anyway, because the word is what the topic is made of.
